Job Description

Vested Senior Account Managers are responsible for developing the marketing and communications strategies for their clients, managing team members to ensure programs are being executed effectively and within budget, and retaining and growing their portfolio of accounts. Senior Account Managers are viewed as one of the ultimate leads on the overall account and will be held accountable for the satisfaction of their clients as well as the motivation/effectiveness of their teams and direct reports. 

ENTREPRENEURSHIP
- Leads and participates in new business pitches - actively participating in first, second, and final meetings as well as developing and finalizing proposals and programs
- Identifies new areas of business or programs that we can package, sell and deliver
- Proactively identifies areas in which Vested can improve as a business
- Is a vocal and notable participant in Vested’s growth 
- Demonstrates network building and is nurturing contacts of their own

FINANCIAL ACUMEN
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the overall financial services industry, with knowledge across buy- and sell-side, banking, capital markets, and more, from the front- to back-office as well as associated areas such as fintech
- Is viewed as an expert in multiple areas of financial services with the ability to proactively consult clients on marketing/comms strategies based on that knowledge
- Mentors/upskills junior team members’ knowledge areas 

INTEGRATION & CREATIVITY
- Proactively consults clients on integrated marketing and communications strategies
- Demonstrates increasing knowledge of multi-channel programs and is able to lead a team of experts to execute these program ideas
- Understands how different channels can be applied to solve client problems/objectives 
- Is able to confidently articulate the benefits of paid, owned, earned, and shared media and how to potentially leverage these channels to deliver better client programs

ACCOUNT SKILLS AND MANAGEMENT

Demonstrates deep understanding of clients’ business and communications goals
- Helps lead planning and strategy workshops with clients to map business/comms goals and can build effective marketing and communications strategies that achieve those goals
- Deeply understands what client KPIs are and works with the client to ensure those KPIs are being met
- Shows deep knowledge of clients’ business, customer base, and products/services - can confidently discuss client’s business, products, and services and how communications/marketing can support business growth

Maintains deep, successful relationships with key client contacts
- Holds a deep, successful relationship with senior contacts at client
- Converses with the client regularly and understands client sentiment/mindset at all times
- Is able to hold honest, “tough” conversations with client contacts to ensure the client is happy and account is retained or growing
- Sees client in one-to-one settings
- Client goes to you as primary strategic contact for major issues or for creative ideas

Delivers client work that exceeds client’s expectations
- Is held accountable for overall program delivery and execution above Vested standards
- Manages teams successfully to ensure team members are producing high-quality output
- Both leads and participates in the execution of programs that receive positive feedback from the client
- Demonstrates daily leadership in mentoring/guiding the team to ensure program results are exceeding expectations
- Actively pivots programs as needed to ensure work is at all times exceeding expectations

Monitors and inputs account time into Noko on time and on a regular basis
- Inputs time into Noko on time and weekly
- Reviews time reports to identify areas of overservicing and underservicing and takes appropriate actions
- Uses time to make forecasts on team allocations and other strategic staffing decisions

- Identifies when individuals may be struggling and can pinpoint how to inspire/motivate them
- Successfully manages account teams on a daily basis
- Shows servant leadership and mentorship every day
- Can excellently manage diverse personalities - successfully working with personalities that may be both similar or different to their own
